| Open Water event concludes the 2010 IPC Swimming World Championships Sunday, August 22, 2010
2010 IPC Swimming World Championships in Eindhoven break all records During six days the 2010 IPC Swimming World Championships took place in Eindhoven and one day in Eersel. A total of 649 athletes from 53 countries participated. A true record for the IPC Swimming World Championships. Next to the athletes approximately 6,500 supporters witnessed the races at the Pieter van den Hoogenband swimming stadium whereas 650 visitors watched the excellent performances of the athletes at the E3 Strand. This past week 68 world records were broken! |
| Last races of IPC 2010 Swimming World Championships Sunday, August 22, 2010
Natalie Du Toit faster than the men in her class (S1 through S10) Today 32 athletes swam the last race of the IPC 2010 Swimming World Championships. This was the Open Water event at the E3 strand in Eersel. The sun was shining brightly and 650 supporters watched the athletes fight for the last medals in the five kilometre session. The atmosphere was excellent, just like all the other days during this tournament. |
